Not to be lost in the shuffle of E3, Ori and the Blind Forest release a physical special edition
Last year’s Metroidvania darling, Ori and the Blind Forest, has been re-released today in retail stores with two new versions. Moon Studios, the Microsoft backed studio, has put out two new versions of the game on store shelves. A standard version will retail for $19.99, while a special edition of the platformer can be found for $29.99.
The players of the original release should find the standard edition of the release to be the same game. Instead of using up bandwidth to download the 2GB game, the standard release has a DVD containing the game. Those who have already purchased the game previously might have more interest in the special edition of this definitive version of the game. In addition to the DVD copy of the game, the special edition comes with a few added bonuses.
- Steel Case
- OST CD
- 2 Postcards
- 2 Double-sided Posters
Both editions come with added bonus content that was not previously released. It will feature two new areas, two new abilities, two new secret areas, and a teleport mechanic to transport you to previously explored areas. Find Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition in stores today.
